Reverend Powers' fabulous book 'The Romance of the Wedding Ceremony ' was a HUGE inspiration and help to us in writing our wedding ceremony. We were getting nervous as we were running out of time and still weren't sure what to put together for our ceremony- we just knew we didn't want the standard old 'We are gathered here today...', that we wanted something modern and unique that represented US and how special and unique we feel. We wanted words that all of our hearts would respond to- including our cherished friends and family! From Reverend Powers' book we were able to find the loving and moving words we were looking for, we were able to put together different portions from the various examples, utilized the rituals suggested that meant the most to us, were inspired by poems and prose that helped us write our own statements and declarations- it was a complete guide to creating your own personalized ceremony that was perfectly organized and super easy to use! Thank you Reverend Powers for putting together that book and helping us create effortlessly the most precious and memorable moment in our lives!
